Introduction

The Chapel

Both the service and the reception will be taking place at St. John's School, Leatherhead, where we both first met (ahhhh!). There is therefore no need to travel between them (it's a 15 second walk). It is easily accessible from the center of town, the M25 and the train station. See the travel section below for more details. For those who know where Becky lives, it's right opposite there.

WARNING

- The building at the front of the school which looks remarkably like a chapel is in fact the library. The chapel is a modern building with a black roof just off the quadrangle. Head towards the centre of the school and the war memorial and you can't miss it. And if you still can't find it, follow the girl wearing the big white dress.

Travel

Car

Leatherhead is off Junction 9 of the M25 or along the A24. There are plenty of spaces for cars to be parked by the Epsom Road entrances to the School, by the Art School (round the back, off Linden Pit Path - priority for people who have trouble walking) and along Linden Pit Path. Failing that, park in the adjacent roads.

Train

Go on, you know you want to, then no-one need drive. Trains travel frequently between Leatherhead and London (45 minutes), Guildford (25 minutes) and Dorking (6 minutes). St John's is a short walk (5 minutes) up from the station:

Come out of the station and walk to the road.

Trains leave Waterloo approximately every 15 minutes and take about 45 minutes and are operated by South West Trains. Trains leave Victoria a little less frequently, about every half hour and again take 45 minnutes. They are operated by Southern Trains. It is usually best to take the first train to Epsom and change there if coming from Victoria. The last train for Waterloo leaves Leatherhead at 23:56. The last train back to Guildford is 00:24.

See National Rail for detailed train times to all destinations, or call National Rail Enquiries on 08457 48 49 50.

Walking

If you are staying at the travel lodge in town (see Accommodation), simply walk up the High Street, and go straight on at the cross roads at the top, keeping on the left. The school is on your left after 100 meters.

Buses
